OLC with Pencil coloring

A simple pencil colored card  :) Inspired by so many beautiful pencil colored images shared on blogs I brought my color pencils out (they are very old ,from my school days !) I find layering colors using pencils tricky ,I could not go beyond three layers. So the results are just passable !

I have CASEd Shona's card to stamp the floral cluster. The lovely flowers are from dainty blooms(Mudra Craft Stamps). Did some masking and selective stamping.

Used happy anniversary from The Big ,the bold and Happy set (W & W ) to create a circular frame for the floral cluster.Kept it very simple (no sequins, no splatters )

I have not created much OLCs ,enjoyed creating this one ,hope you like it :)

Faux-Chalkboar shaker card

Faux Chalkboard again !! hope you are not bored of seeing it again and again. The starting point for this card was the ribbon banner.Did some trials to fit the sentiment in it. Drew rough outlines on the black cardbase using a chalk and then heat embossed the sentiment in parts.Later used a white gel pen to draw the banner.

Stamped the confetti on the top portion of the card using tiny stamps from Dream Catcher set(Mudra craft stamps).Used a colorful pp (Glitz- Color Me Happy) to create a shaker frame.

Its very simple shaker card hope you like it :)

Faux-Chalkboard Birthday Card

Hello friends , Today I have a faux-chalkboard card to share.I love this technique very much and when I saw this month's Mudra Challenge ,I knew I am not going to miss it :)

SO here I am with a birthday card.Started by heat Embossing the sentiment in white. Then stamped the Dainty blooms, and few additional flowers around it with white pigment ink. Both the stamps are from Mudra Crafts Stamps.

I tried many options for coloring but none of them poped on black ,so went for acrylic paints (layers of it !).Used color pencils for highlights and shadows. As I wanted the focus to be on the chalkboard look ,kept it simple ,just layering over a light pink cardstock. If you are wondering how come the black looks so black ,I have blended some archival black ink around the edges.Made a matching envelope.

Hope you liked the card and give this technique a try ! Thank you for visiting :)

Thanks with Altenew

Hello Friends !How are you all doing ? I am posting after long ,not crafting much these days :) Then what made me come out of my hibernation ? The Beautiful gift from my dear friend Jasleen ,She gifted me this wonderful layered Lilly stamp set,my first Altenew stamp :) I am blessed to have friends who choose perfect gift for me !! Today's card is for you Jasleen !

As is evident from the look of the card I struggled a lot while creating it ! Switched many ideas.Started with a white base and ended with a black one ! The background has some text and white paint splatters.Stamped the lilies with mix of distress ink and markers. The sentiment is from same set and enamel dots from PABD.

I realized after using this stamp why stampers are so in love with layered stamps. Its fascinating to see the image build layer by layer and you can try numerous color combo and get fab artistic looking results.

Graphic Thanks

This is card is specially  for you all ,my blogger friends ! Cannot thank enough for the appreciation and encouragement you all have given me.Its my tonic for blogging and crafting !
Coming to the card ,created the background by smooshing inks on the card base.
Ink smooshing with three colors

While it was drying,  stamped the triangles (Still hooked with them) with grey ink on watercolor paper, traced the outline of "thanks" using a mask(W & W)

giving polygonal/faceted effect
And then came the time consuming part, broke the pattern inside the word into small triangles and colored them patiently in various shades of green using water color pencils, brush pens and connector pens

embellished with few Enamel dots ,glitter strips to finish off the card.

Card with mask

Thanks for dropping by,Have a great day ahead.

Birdie Birthday

Hello friends , a quick post to share a cute Birthday card.My hurried entry to Winnie & Walter's Birthday Bash Celebration.

Did A bit of measurements for the shaker window, then marked them on card base and stamped the birds from So Tweet with Evelin T Designs (W & W). Masked the central portion and stamped the streamers from The Party Hangover set (W & W).The sentiment from The Big,the Bold and the Happy (W & W). Colored the birds with brush pens (Akashiya Sai) masked them to blend some ink in the window panel.

Trendy Triangles Again !

Hello friends ! Yet another card with triangles and same color combo!( hope you are not bored of seeing them again and again)

Started by stamping a pattern with triangles from  Rectangled & Triangled set(Winnie & Walter)on a light grey patterned paper(Glitz- Color Me Happy).

Dabbed Mustard seeds and salty oceans DIs on a piece of acetate misted water and smooshed it on the pattern paper.Leftover ink was used on watercolor paper and stamped some more triangles on and fussy cut them.

Adhered the triangles on the card, popped few of them with foam tape.Heat embossed "Happy" and "birthday" from The Big the Bold and the Happy Stamp set(Winnie & Walter) on black card stock and fussy cut them.

coordinating envelope for the card.Grey looks cool as base specially for Masculine cards, what say ? Glad I could use at-least one pp from my stash ;)

Thanks for dropping by my blog, have a great Day !
